We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team, focusing on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms within a GovCloud FedRAMP certified environment. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in cloud services, security protocols, and compliance standards necessary to navigate the complexities of government-related projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust set of technical skills, including cloud architecture design, security framework implementation, and disaster recovery planning. Applicants should have proven experience with multiple cloud technologies, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and demonstrate a continuous commitment to staying current with industry developments. Your expertise will ensure the secure, efficient, and innovative use of cloud technology in our critical government operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design secure, scalable cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring alignment with FedRAMP compliance and GovCloud requirements using technologies like AWS DocumentDB and Apache Spark.

  • Develop and manage robust microservices architectures to enhance system functionality and interoperability using GraphQL, Mulesoft, and REST APIs within a cloud-native environment.

  • Obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) certifications for services hosted under FedRAMP guidelines, effectively managing documentation and compliance processes.

  • Lead the development and integration of advanced security measures such as data encryption and secure access controls using KeyCloak, with continuous monitoring systems to meet stringent government security standards.

  • Architect and deploy containerization and orchestration solutions using Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS ECR to improve deployment processes and application scalability.

  • Implement automation in cloud deployments and configurations using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation, enhancing operational efficiency.

  • Design and oversee disaster recovery and business continuity plans across multiple cloud regions and zones, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

  • Continuously analyze and optimize cloud infrastructure using Pyspark and YellowFin to improve performance, reduce costs, and proactively resolve potential issues.

  • Communicate technical strategies and plans to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and security practices, adapting and updating strategies to maintain compliance and leverage innovations like Kafka and ZooKeeper.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in cloud architecture and system design, with a proven track record in deploying scalable and secure cloud solutions.

  • Additional cybersecurity, cloud computing, or software development education through accredited courses or certifications is highly advantageous.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development to keep abreast of the latest cloud technologies and DevSecOps methodologies advancements.

  • Industry-recognized certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with web applications and database systems, including MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.

  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure components and services, capable of designing integrated solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud security protocols, compliance demands, and best practices in regulated industries like healthcare or government.

  • Proficiency in implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans within cloud environments, ensuring service availability and resilience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualize complex solutions through analytical approaches and architectural best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical challenges and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development, staying current with industry trends and technological advancements in cloud computing and DevSecOps.
