Training Coordinator

General Summary : The Training Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, delivery and development of Mill training programs that improve employee and mill efficiency and productivity. The training programs will be aligned with the overall Mill objectives and delivered in an effective, well-structured, informative and interactive way.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in related field (Human Resources, Business Administration, Educational Technology and Instructional Design) or equivalent training experience may be considered

  • 1-3 years previous work experience in Learning and Development or related field.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing training experience preferred.

    Knowledge-Skills-Abilities

  • Knowledge of training and development practices and methods, continuous curriculum development including the design, revisions and implementation of instructional materials for a variety of technical and ownership skills.

  • Strong presentation, group facilitation and public speaking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, confidence in influencing, consulting, and partnering with various audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and communicate with all departments.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects concurrently.

  • Strong working e xperience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

    Essential Job Duties

  • Collaborate with mill supervisors, managers and/or subject matter experts to identify training needs, create training materials, and schedule and oversee the delivery of the training.

  • Create training schedules for all departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the company.

  • Communicate with employees on required and scheduled training and maintain database to track employee progress.

  • Provide guidance in the determination of appropriate types of training, i.e., e-learning courses, workshops, videos, etc.

  • Create instructional materials ensuring that all materials are current and appropriate for the target audience.

  • Measure employee information retention rates by issuing assessment tests and quizzes on course material.

  • Coordinate onboarding training for all new hires on company policies and procedures.

  • Serve as the information resources officer for all audits reviewing training.

  • Assist with mill recruiting.
