Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to distribution centers and from distribution centers to customers.
  • Arrange and monitor shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to negotiate rates and optimize transportation costs.
  • Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Oversee and manage inventory levels at various locations, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Implement inventory control measures to track and manage stock accuracy.
  • Ensure that all shipping and customs documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations.
  • Stay informed about international shipping regulations and ensure adherence to customs requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, warehouse, and sales, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
  • Communicate effectively with external partners to resolve issues and provide timely updates on shipment status.
  • Address and resolve any issues or delays in the transportation process promptly to minimize impact on customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and implement preventive measures.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to assess logistics performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Generate regular reports on key logistics metrics for management review.
  • Position has an on-call schedule.
