Menasha Global Traffic Coordinator in Urbana, Ohio
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to distribution centers and from distribution centers to customers.
- Arrange and monitor shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to negotiate rates and optimize transportation costs.
- Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee and manage inventory levels at various locations, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Implement inventory control measures to track and manage stock accuracy.
- Ensure that all shipping and customs documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations.
- Stay informed about international shipping regulations and ensure adherence to customs requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, warehouse, and sales, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.
- Communicate effectively with external partners to resolve issues and provide timely updates on shipment status.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in the transportation process promptly to minimize impact on customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify potential problems and implement preventive measures.
- Utilize data analysis tools to assess logistics performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Generate regular reports on key logistics metrics for management review.
- Position has an on-call schedule.
