Urbana Country Club Security Officer in Urbana, Illinois

Urbana Country Club is a private establishment located in Urbana, Illinois. This location offers Members private access to a golf course, resort, spa, gym, clubhouse, and more.

Security Officer | Part-Time Only | Weekends (Saturday/Sunday)

Security Officers are dedicated security professionals with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a complex environment. Security Officers work as a team, patrolling the Club’s property via vehicle and foot and/or ensuring security at a series of fixed locations in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as Club regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as operator in the conduct of static security posts

  • Support the execution of plans in support of Club operations

  • Participate and assist in conducting beginner, intermediate, and advanced security training

  • Conduct research and analysis in support of Club security missions

  • Provide mobile security support as directed by security leadership

  • Respond to emergency situations (medical/fire/suspicious person, etc.)

  • Execute security support as dictated by security leadership

  • Execute roving patrols of assigned locations

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

  • Learn advanced skillsets (medical/VIP escort/security hardware and technology/etc.)

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate

  • 4+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or corporate security.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Military deployment and/or intelligence experience

  • Aptitude for critical incident handling

  • CPR/first aid for the professional rescuer or BLS

  • Computer-based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more

  • Extensive team-oriented and solo experience

  • An intense interest in protecting people, property, and information

  • Foreign language proficiency

  • Impeccable character/integrity

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work either afternoon or night shift (weekends - Sat/Sun):

  • Afternoon (1400-2200)

  • Night (2200-0600)

  • Availability to work any schedule needed as circumstances dictate or as needed by security leadership

  • Ability and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods and walk long distances

  • Able to wear approximately 10-30lbs of gear throughout an 8-hour shift if required

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening

Benefits

Starting hourly rate: $21.75/HR

Your base pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
