Writing a Job-Winning Resume

1-hour session

Do you need help creating or fine-tuning your resume?

This individual session assists applicants with how to prepare a basic or professional resume that reflects their skills, knowledge, and education that are relevant to the job they are seeking. Topics include what information to include on your resume, how to clearly present your skills and abilities, different styles of resumes, and common mistakes made on a resume. Applicants will receive one-on-one help with their resume and cover letter critique with the option of choosing this session in a face-to-face setting or virtually.

How to Ace your Interview

1-hour session

Does going on a job interview make you nervous? Are you nervous that you won\'t clearly articulate what you do or that you won\'t have the right answer? Being prepared for your job interview will certainly improve your chances of being successful at the interview and will decrease your nervousness.

This individual session assists applicants with how to prepare for their interview including preparation tips before the interview, suggestions for the day of the interview, and the do\'s and don\'ts during the interview. Participants will then participate in a mock interview allowing a chance to practice what has been learned. Applicants have the option of choosing this session in a face-to-face setting or virtually.

IHR will be reaching out to schedule the workshop. We will make two attempts to contact you and provide you with the opportunity to attend the workshop. However, if you are unavailable for both of these times, you will need to re-register for the workshop. We need to be mindful of space in order to accommodate other interested candidates.
