Duties and Responsibilities:
*
Design and commission new high power RF amplifiers.
* Implement test procedures for technicians and new engineers to follow.
* Train technicians and new engineers to operate the new RF cavities conditioning program.
* Develop and implement new PLC controls as needed.
* Oversee High Power RF Systems throughout the CAD complex and ensure their proper operation.
Propose upgrades and improvements, perform partial or complete analysis, design, and execution of parts of an engineering
assignment as part of a larger scale project.
* Apply standard practices and techniques in different and broader aspects of design, procurement, manufacture, erection, test
and initial operation and commissioning.
* Apply broader knowledge on Superconducting and High-Power RF Systems to deal with new challenges and complex
problems that arise during operations or for future developments.
* Offer solutions to a variety of technical problems of different levels of complexity either independently or as part of a team


Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Education or experience with each of the following skills is required:
* MATLAB
* Control Systems Analysis
* Modern Scopes
* Network and Spectrum Analyzers
* PLC programming
* Signal processing
* RF circuits design


Brookhaven Laboratory is committed to providing fair, equitable and competitive compensation. The full salary range for this position is $94250 - $131750 / year. You will be placed at the level and salary commensurate with your experience. Salary offers will be commensurate with the final candidate's qualification, education and experience and considered with the internal peer group.
