Overview

NBC Sports Next & Fandango is seeking a Sr. Manager, Human Resources to provide leadership and support for our Los Angeles based team as well as team members across the country.  Responsibilities will include driving key HR initiatives in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, change management, employee coaching, compensation planning, succession planning, employee experiences, and training & development.  This position will report into Dir, Human Resources NBC Sports Next & Fandango.

Job Duties

  • Drive strategic HR-related planning, organization design & integration, talent management, compensation planning, manager coaching, employee development, succession planning, and performance management

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement training and strategies to retain internal and attract external talent

  • Uncover, assess, and propose opportunities for strategic improvements and operational enhancement

  • Support ongoing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives, both company-wide and organization-specific efforts   

  • Support strategic business-related initiatives to achieve organization and operational goals

  • Manage complex employee relations issues including organizational and structural changes

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study

  • 5+ years relevant professional level HR experience

  • Must be willing to travel for work related business as necessary

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across multiple time zones

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s degree in HR, MBA or related field

  • PHR, SHRM-CP or other HR certification, GPHR

  • Strong knowledge base in California employment law

  • Curiosity is in your DNA and you find a way to ‘Yes’

  • Demonstrated ability to translate 'big picture' business strategy into an executable HR plan

  • Natural ease working with and relating to employee needs in a fast-paced, ever-changing, matrixed environment

  • Proven influencer; demonstrated ability to coach and counsel both employees and executive-level management

  • Extremely flexible, highly organized and able to easily shift priorities

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
