Job Information

Redevelopment Authority of the County of Fayette Weatherization Installer/Laborer in Uniontown, Pennsylvania

Could work up to 37.5 hours/week.

Duties: Assists with the installation of energy conservation activities and weatherization of homes, including installation of insulation, caulking, and replacement of windows and doors. Assists with assembling materials and equipment. Maintains a close awareness of work quality and production. Assists with building and grounds maintenance of Authority property. Maintains a commitment to safe work practices. Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, working inside & outdoors, on ladders and in confined areas such as crawl spaces, basements, and attics. Ability to perform work throughout the year, in all seasons and weather conditions. Ability to work with cellulose and fiberglass insulation, caulking, and foam sealant. Ability to read measuring devices and use power and hand tools, abiding by safe work practices. Construction and building skills helpful.  Capabilities of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50lbs.  Attend and pass trainings as required. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees and the general public. Possess a high school diploma, or equivalent. Other miscellaneous duties as required.

All weatherization employees are required to submit to a background criminal history check and drug test.
