Seeking a Training Specialist for our Senior Worker Advocacy Program!  This key role builds partnerships with regional companies to assist them in attracting, retaining and motivating Senior workers.  The Training Specialist is also responsible for assisting companies and individuals in meeting training needs via partnership with community training resources or via the development and delivery of customized training.  Key responsibilities for the this position:  Meeting with regional business to identify training and development opportunities for senior workers; Assisting companies with developing strategies and programs to attract and retain worker 55+ demographic;  Working with employers to identify and communicate job opportunities suitable for senior workers;  Identifying local training resources to assist companies in meeting training needs for their Senior workforce;  Developing customized curriculum and training for topics that are not available through community training programs;  Providing training to Seniors on job search strategies and tasks including resume writing, Networking, online job searches and interviewing skills;  Working with Senior workers to identify and address their potential barriers to employment;  and assisting Senior job seekers in obtaining training and experience needed to pursue employment goal.  Ideal candidates will have a degree in Education, Business(or closely related field), or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.  Candidates should also have experience developing and delivering training in classroom or one-on-one setting, working with adult learners, and setting up and managing mentorship programs.
