Good Works Life Recovery House Maintenance in Uniontown, Pennsylvania

Ideal candidate will posses skills to maintain our building(s) and ground, including but not limited to janitorial services, basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical, minor auto upkeep, lawn care, and general construction including skills with a variety of hand tools. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass random drug screenings.

 

OVERVIEW:

Maintenance Tech will be responsible for the care and upkeep of the physical property and structures of Good Works Ministries.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs maintenance and custodial duties, including overall building and grounds maintenance and repair. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • General repairs and maintenance of building and property
  • Collection and removal of waste
  • Cleaning floors
  • Mowing lawns
  • Shovelling snow from walkways as needed
  • Set up and tear down of tables and chairs for events
  • Maintaining buildings by completing any needed repairs to walls, trim, or flooring

Additional duties include:

  • Repair of any equipment/systems as needed
  • Light vehicle maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background, experience, or training in repairs and maintenance of properties/facilities.
  • Preferred candidates will posses trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and automotive repair.
  • Skilled in the operation of a variety of hand tools.
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds, HVAC system equipment, lawn mowers, irrigation systems, insecticides, custodial equipment, and basic tools used in building maintenance.
  • Considerable knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and carry out routine verbal and written instructions, make routine decisions independently, sustain long period of light to moderate and sometimes heavy physical activity. 
  • Be respectful of the organization and clients, and ability to work well with others.

     

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:

Board President and Administrator

 

DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:

Minimal. Functions mostly independently, under the supervision of the Board President and/or Administrator.
