DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, your main responsibilities will include creating detailed construction plans and verifying grade lines, profiles, and cross sections. You will also calculate earthwork quantities and excavation measurements. Additionally, you will interpret and plot deeds to develop right-of-way plans and use surveys to produce plan sheets. You will assist in the preparation of highway and bridge plans and utilize the roadway management system for gathering information. Furthermore, you will maintain libraries, attend meetings, prepare maps and sketches, and provide support in presentations and meetings. Your goal will be to complete projects efficiently and within budget while providing excellent customer service and promoting effective communication between departments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, schedule is determined by District and Statewide Policy. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown. One year as an Engineering Technician; or Two years of experience in a variety of drafting assignments, one of which shall have been in highway drafting, including six months CADD experience or training, and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in highway drafting and detailing assignments including six months of CADD experience or training and an Associate's Degree in civil engineering, drafting, or design technology; or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
