Fedex Corporate Services Engineering Specialist Advisor in Uniontown, Ohio

Under limited supervision, performs one or more of the following activities: configuration management, system administration, security administration, network administration, development system implementation, production system implementation. Responds to issues related to environment, hardware, system, and/or software and implements resolution across technology areas. Supports multiple systems simultaneously, and provides leadership for large project efforts. Provides support or lead activities related to change management and/or project management. Provides mentoring for the development of less senior staff. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Special Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent * in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in information technology or engineering environment in lieu of a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience. The position requires experience with: project management; programming languages: SQL; automation; advanced data analytics, change management / compliance, quality assurance; WMS (Manhattan/CargoWise); test/defect management (Agility.ai); data visualization tools (Power BI, Spotfire and Tableau). A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Position allows for telecommuting from home within commuting distance of Uniontown, OH.
