[On behalf of a local trucking company, the OhioMeansJobs Summit County is recruiting for Diesel Mechanic: * *Position Description: A skilled Diesel mechanic to join a team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

*Responsibilities: *- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements - Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles and equipment -Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs - Knowledge of omission equipment - Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines

*Experience: *- Proven experience minimum 1+ year as a Mechanic or similar role - Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension - Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams - Excellent problem-solving skills - Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality workmanship
