THE WORK

The successful candidate will join a diverse Operations team at RMS Mitchel Field as a Project Engineer.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Working with a multi-disciplinary engineering and operations team to ensure that all Trident Program deliverables are completed per cost, performance and schedule that align with on-time-delivery (OTD) requirements

Maintaining Program and Functional specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Working with direct leadership to provide Program status reports and functional performance updates

Providing aerial and direct support to operations team members during peak activity (e.g. procurement, material staging and sell-off)

Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities (Lean Manufacturing Principles)

Lockheed Martin Operations is building up a cross-functional team to help drive better delivery of quality products on time, within cost and is seeking a Project Engineer to support this vision successfully. You will work effectively throughout the RMS E&T organization, both vertically and horizontally, to build strong working team relationships in advancing product deliverables that meet program and customer expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations environment with demonstrated performance in meeting program key performance indicators (KPIs)

Experience in leading cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve targeted program goals

Experience with Material Management / P2P Procurement Environments

Desired Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Earned Value Management Experience / CAM Certified

Lean Six Sigma Certification

Led or worked with union represented workforce

Familiar with Government Contracts and Program Executions

Trident Navigation Knowledge

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

The base range for this position in New York is $121260.79 - $189437.22.

The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
