WISCONSIN DEPT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Registered Nurse (RN) - LTE, UG in UNION GROVE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: This professional nursing position is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to a mostly geriatric and/or disabled population. The incumbent provides direction to other staff in the provision and coordination of member care, and monitors care given by other health team members on a unit, floor, or in a building. All activities are performed in accordance with applicable industry standards of practice, facility policies/procedures, and state and federal rules and regulations. Core Shifts Available AM 1st Shift - 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PM 2nd Shift - 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. NOC 3rd Shift - 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. **LTEs may work partial shifts on request.** Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to provide their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, by date of hire, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. The Wisconsin Veterans Homes continue to follow necessary health and safety protocols for COVID-19, which are subject to change, depending on public health considerations.
