Custom Truck One Source PORTER in Union Grove, Wisconsin

Summary

Custom Truck One Source has an opening for a Porter/ Detailer. The Detailer will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and detailing customer and company owned trucks and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning the interiors of vehicles, to include vacuuming and wiping down surfaces, cleaning and polishing floors, etc.

  • Cleaning the exteriors of vehicles, to include washing the exterior, polishing wheels, dressing tires, applying undercoating, etc.

  • Performing final inspection on vehicles, to include alarms, locks, lights and fluids.

  • May also be responsible for fueling, weighing and conducting road tests of vehicles.

  • May assist yard attendants in loading and unloading of equipment and yard maintenance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Ability to operate equipment preferred.

  • High School diploma or the equivalent

  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Setting priorities and adapting to changing work priorities

  • Must be self-sufficient and driven

  • Meeting deadlines and schedules

  • Strong attendance record

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and audiogram

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Working Conditions

  • Majority of work performed outside or in a shop setting

  • Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet, jack, overhead jobs, and cranes

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day

  • Frequent lifting (60-100lbs), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42", significant stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout an 8-12 hour day, and up to 60 hours per week

  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes
