Custom Truck One Source Part's Sales Representative in Union Grove, Wisconsin

Custom Truck One Source has an opening for an experienced Retail / Part Sales Associate with a background in heavy & light duty trucks and equipment. This individual is responsible for email, phone and walk-in aftermarket or replacement part sales in a fast-paced, quick turnaround environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Professionally answer all incoming phone calls and greet customers and visitors when they enter the building.

  • Communicate effectively with both customers and internal team members, in an effort to sell company parts through email, over the phone and in person.

  • Respond to customer parts requests in a timely manner.

  • Assist customers in selecting required parts and suggesting companion parts.

  • Determine part availability and pricing and communicate to customer.

  • Refer to parts catalogues and equipment manuals to identify the correct parts for specific make, model and year of vehicle or equipment.

  • Create Customer Orders and Purchase Orders.

  • Monitor customer orders and inform customer of any delays.

  • Process payment for parts transactions and invoice customer orders.

  • Process the cash drawer at the end of each work shift.

  • Help customers resolve part issues to ensure customer expectations are met.

  • Provide excellent customer service with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Keep current on new products and product updates.

  • Expand parts sales and meet and/or exceed sales, margin and profitability targets. (Opportunity for growth is potentially through cold calling and/or online sales.)

  • Perform physical inventory counts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous parts sales experience in a similar field

  • Knowledge of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment preferred

  • High school diploma or the equivalent

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Extremely detail oriented and accurate

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Set priorities and adapt to changing work priorities

  • Must be self-sufficient and driven

  • Meet deadlines and schedules

  • Must have a strong attendance record

  • Professional personal appearance

  • Must be outgoing and sociable

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

  • Proficient on a computer and have the ability to learn new programs quickly. Must be able to use Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to work independently and create innovative solutions to problems with minimal direction from supervisors.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing a positive service experience. This includes internal client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively before individual customers or groups of customers or employees of organization or parent organization.

  • This job requires "people" skills and a genuine desire to service the client.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to maintain a professional demeanor with clients and team members is essential to this position.

Working Conditions

  • Majority of work performed in shop or office setting

  • May be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.

  • Work as scheduled with punctual attendance and able to work between the hours of 7:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting – The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
