JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the direction of the Veterans Home Administrator (Director), the Veterans Home Assistant Administrator (Deputy Director) administers assigned programs within WVHUG. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance with state, federal, and Veterans Administration laws, rules, and regulations; providing budgetary and programmatic oversight; evaluating program performance; and supervising staff to ensure high quality care and services are provided to residents. In addition, the incumbent develops and maintains effective liaison within WDVA and with other state and federal agencies, and initiates, develops, maintains liaison with, and speaks before community, statewide, regional, and national organizations concerned with veterans\' long-term care issues and policies. The Deputy Director acts as the Administrator-of-Record with complete line authority and responsibility for WVHUG operations, in absence of or as designated by, the Director. Job Details This job requires adjusting or increasing work hours as needed to meet WVHUG operational needs. Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. A two-year Career Executive trial period may be required.
