Two Six Technologies Field Operations Engineer - Network Engineer in Union City, Ohio

Overview of Opportunity Two Six Technologies is currently looking for a Field Operations Engineer with expertise in operational network engineering. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of complex networks that support cutting-edge cybersecurity research and development. As a key player in high-priority, high-growth programs, the Field Operations Engineer should possess a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to operate with ambiguity to achieve project goals with speed and agility. You will be responsible for managing custom systems, networks, and systems-under-test, and be an integral part of the cyber and electronic systems team, tasked with developing innovative solutions across the national security community. The ideal candidate will have an "all hands on deck" mentality, delivering engineering services for network infrastructure at various CONUS and OCONUS work sites.Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead efforts to ensure that complex systems are ready for use and quick reaction requests are met as needed
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the network infrastructure in field offices, including physical and logical design of network and telecom infrastructure, analyzing existing network platforms and systems, and recommending solutions.
  • Provides technical input in the design, installation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure
  • Support tight-looped development and integration production cycles
  • Process and testing automation
  • Continual learning, particularly with respect to cybersecurity principles
  • Collaboration and communication across teams and projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active US Security clearance of Top Secret level and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and poly
  • 5+ years of experience in Networking, Security, Design implementation, and Operational support
  • Experience designing and implementing Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Security Software
  • Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, routing and VLANs.
  • Reviewing and identifying security vulnerabilities and applying remediation
  • Understanding of modern software languages and command line interface
  • Command of scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Docker
  • Experience with virtualization environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or ProxMox
  • Must be willing to travel to CONUS & OCONUS work sites 50% of the time

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with classified lab networks and requirements (SCIF or SAPF)
  • Expertise in mid-level network devices such as managed switches and routers
  • Experience with LDAP/Kerberos authentication protocols
  • Virtualization experience (VDI & VMWare)
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Security best practices and implementing firewalls and perimeter security measures including VPN technologies
  • Continuous integration, test automation and/or SecDevOps on iterative development projects

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active US Security clearance of Top Secret level and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and poly
