Underwood Community School District is hiring aSpecial Education Strat II:ID at the Middle School/Elementary level for the 2024-2025 school year. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: -Valid Iowa Teacher License -Applicant must hold appropriate permanent or conditional teacher license in Special Education or ability to obtain Licensure. District will consider tuition reimbursement for qualified applicants to obtain appropriate Licensure. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES DESIRED: -Must have an interest in developing and practicing teaming with both regular education and special education teachers; the teacher will need to develop strategies to assist and complement the efforts of the regular education teacher as well as providing individualized instruction in and outside the regular classroom -Must have a willingness to assume responsibilities for being a team leader for team meetings, IEP developments, and other specific elements of supervision and follow-up for the maintenance of records and implementation of services.
