Workforce Development Practice Lead

Management Concepts, Inc. seeks a passionate, visionary, and experienced individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to help us grow our Workforce Development Practice in the areas of human capital planning, workforce assessment, career pathways, performance management, organizational development and change management. We are looking for a seasoned practitioner with experience in the consulting arena who ideally has government contracting and practice management experience. In this position, you will be on the ground floor of building this aspect of our consulting practice and responsible for its leadership and financial stewardship.

This position requires that you have a strong consulting background including sales, service delivery, and management. As the lead, you must be able to inspire people and work collaboratively with our program managers and other departments within Management Concepts to provide seamless delivery of quality, cost-effective solutions to our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Lead in the development and deployment of our emerging workforce development methodologies.

· Deploy our workforce development methodology and solutioning, growing the business through marketing, networking, and sales activities in collaboration with Management Concepts Sales, Marketing, and other departments.

· Package and present our emerging methodologies in ways that resonate with the federal government through meetings, public speaking, capture, and proposal development.

· Oversee the Workforce Development Division and its personnel and work collaboratively with Program Managers in the direction and collaboration of all staff assigned to each project.

· Responsible for overseeing forecasts, budgeting, and internal reporting of workforce development activities.

· Be a direct billable contributor on projects won.

Experience and Skills Required:

· Prior experience managing a federal portfolio of 5 million.

· Prior experience managing a Human Capital or Workforce Development practice.

· Demonstrated expertise in federal consulting in a lead role.

· Experience through the full consulting life cycle, transforming visions into complex solutions that result in successful projects.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading consulting teams in a matrixed work environment

· Proposal development

· Background in workforce development (or management consulting more broadly)

· Strong desire (and ability) to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups (internal and external)

· Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills necessary to create innovative and creative solutions to the organization's mission needs and issues

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Desired: Experience leading teams in the federal space

· Bachelor’s degree in relevant study area (e.g., human resources, organizational development, business); Master’s degree preferred

Certifications/Methodologies (A Plus, not Required)

· PMP (Project Management Professional)

· CMC (Certified Management Consultant)

· CWPP (Certified Workforce Planning Professional)
