Mechanical Concepts LLC Boiler Technician - East Texas in Tyler, Texas

Mechanical Concepts LLC is based in Shreveport. However, our service area is North Louisiana, Southwest Arkansas AND East Texas. We are looking for a boiler technician who lives in East Texas and will work in EAST TEXAS and surrounding area.

Pay range: Negotiable, depending upon experience.

Duties include preventive maintenance, start up and commissioning and servicing of commercial boilers, pumps, and associated equipment and controls.

An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a Certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning is beneficial. This position requires strong technical aptitude and a solid work ethic.

Factory training provided.

Essential Functions:

  • Performing routine maintenance and safety inspections on boilers and other equipment used to generate steam or hot water

  • Troubleshooting malfunctions with controls, pumps, valves, gauges, burners, and other components of boilers and steam generators

  • Following safety protocols to inspect and clean boilers in order to prevent accidents and injuries

  • Conducting regular inspections of boilers to ensure that they are in good working order

  • Performing start-up of new boilers

  • Repairing boilers, pumps and associated equipment

  • Recording data on fuel usage, system pressure levels, and other factors that could affect safety or efficiency

  • Setting combustion and tuning burners for optimum efficiency.

  • Communication with other technicians, engineers, managers and clients.
