This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program or are participants of the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 2-2024 The Engineer III Specialist - Data Center Operations will be part of a highly specialized team providing resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems. Analyzes the physical and environmental components of incoming data center hardware and is responsible for making sound business decisions, evaluating several factors, as to placement, installation, and connectivity on the data center floor. Excellent understanding of a wide range of hardware with technical troubleshooting, network and storage (SAN) connectivity and related components. Ability to independently apply knowledge to multiple hardware installation activities as well as work with appropriate technical groups to resolve technical issues that arise. Utilizing the established work rules and departmental guidelines, collaborates with others within the workgroup to evaluate and make daily decisions about multiple work activities. Through data-analysis determines selection of methods and techniques for obtaining information and reaching solutions. Key Responsibilities: Advanced working knowledge of the compute infrastructure implementation processes as well as product/end user activities as applicable to the data center operations function. Interacts with all Hardware & Site Support team members on a daily basis to include providing technical coaching and direction to other less experienced members on the team. Advanced working knowledge of DCRM, dcTrack, HRS, and ADR. Technically interact with various external technical teams to satisfy daily data center work requests and resolve problems beyond the employee's scope or knowledge. Compliance and safety related to data center operations, physical security, and media handling. Ability to work in a team environment while independently completing tasks by required date Ability to provide 24/7/365 technical support of the data center by participating in shift and on-call rotating schedules - with on-call responsibilities and the flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.
