SAIC Special Security Representative in TWENTYNINE PALMS, California

Description

SAIC has an opening for a Special Security Representative located in Camp Pendleton, CA responsible to provide specialized security expertise for the I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF). This position is in direct support of the special security officer (SSO) at facility located on Camp Pendleton, CA. Security expertise includes in-depth knowledge of DoD personnel security processes and regulations, the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), security facility entry/exit monitoring systems and processes, and relevant experience in special security office management. Position requires the ability to analyze data from various sources and make appropriate program recommendations to the SSO.

Job Duties:

  • Providing ongoing organizational analysis and technical support of Marine Corps, Department of the Navy, and Department of Defense security policies and procedures.The security project analyst shall provide advice on the full range of administrative support services including interpretation and application of secure facility project requirements based on applicable policies and procedures.

  • Support controlling and maintaining appropriate databases (e.g DISS).

  • Facilities access control functions.

  • Material handling, storing, destroying and managing SCI materials in compliance with DoD directives.

  • Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.

  • Prepare and conduct Collateral and SCI indoctrinations, setting up required media support equipment and verifying clearance eligibility prior to indoctrinations.

  • Requirements analysis and implementation of administrative support functions including SCI conference personnel accountability and verification, processing foreign travel documents, security liaison with other SSO and DOD organizations to develop solutions for internal and external requirements.

  • The ability to read, understand and apply government regulation, policies and procedure (DoD SAP/SCI Community and Intelligence Community directives and manuals, NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117, applicable ICDs, etc.).

  • Provide exercise support to the I MEF, as required.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree and zero (0) years of experience: 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree

Required Security Clearance:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (US Citizenship required).

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated experience in a range of security disciplines and excellent customer interface skills.

  • Good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment while executing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Be proficient and skilled in the most current version of Microsoft Office software.

  • Strong verbal and written communications.

Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
