Virgin Galactic Document Control Specialist in Tustin, California

The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for the release of Engineering deliverables, such as engineering drawings, production work instructions, engineering specifications, documents, and company processes and procedures. They will p rovide support on program configuration management processes and procedures and tools. They will also r esolve system and user issues or errors with engineering documentation or within the system databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Performsday to day configuration management activities related toidentification,control,release, and statusaccounting for engineeringdocumentsinaccordancewithcustomercontractualrequirements and Companypolicy.

  • Participatesinreviewingengineeringdocumentationchanges with engineering, qualityassurance, and manufacturing to ensurecompliancewithconfiguration management and customerrequirements, and company policy.

  • Providesupportto employees to resolve user issuesrelatedto engineering documentation and related databases.

  • Work with IT to resolve systemdatabase and interfaceerrors for thePLM,PIP, and Oracledatabases.

What You Bring

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate degree preferred (or combination of education and experienceequivalent)

  • CMIICertificationpreferred.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experiencedworkingwithelectronic Product Lifecycle Management systems, preferably Enovia 3DX Platform and or Oracle Agile PLM

  • Experienceimplementing and maintainingconfigurationmanagement and documentcontrolprocesses.

  • ProblemSolving and ConflictResolution Strongstatistical analysis skillspreferred.

Professional Requirements:

  • Strongtroubleshooting,organizational, and writtencommunicationskills

  • Team player withexcellentcommunicationskillsboth verbal and written.

  • Mustbeself-motivated and capable of workingwith some supervision,adaptableto changing environments, and able to handle multipletasksand/or projects simultaneously.

The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $47,840.00–$66,560.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
