About the Team: As a member of the Chassis Module Division that supplies to one of the most well know automotive companies in the world, you will join a team that is committed to excellence, the highest quality standards and puts our customer first. You will work closely with automotive part manufacturers all around the world to ensure timely delivery of quality parts to our door. You will work with different departments to ensure any newly sourced material or change is coordinated and executed on-time and with the highest quality. Within ZF you will have the opportunity to work with peers and colleagues with 10-25 years of automotive expertise. What you can look forward to as a Production Supervisor I:

  • Supervise 20 to 40 production employees and lead level 1 and 2 teams with establishing and maintaining all principles of the ZF Production Systems.

  • Create, manage, and report on production schedules, absenteeism, and performance through internal systems and KPI's.

  • Develop and mentor production line leaders.

  • Verify and document quality of work and work standardizations through daily audits and updates.

  • Collect and enter time with driven performance metrics.

  • Lead daily startup meetings to perform safety, quality, and production performances topics to employees.

  • Establish the understanding of safety, quality, and productivity with the shop floor.

  • Ensure routine maintenance of equipment accordantly with ZF Production System principles.

  • Oversee proper performance of 5S principles, start-ups, and shut downs.

  • Perform first level troubleshooting activities of assembly line process deviations and issues.

Your profile as a Production Supervisor I:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1-2+ years of work-related experience

  • Working knowledge of plant and business unit procedures/processes

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment

  • Proven ability to work independently and lead professional staff (e.g. schedule daily tasks, prioritize, execute)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead activities through the use of 8D/5Why principles.

  • Proven time/project management skills while demonstrating the ability to produce results under constraints (e.g. time, budget, headcount, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (i.e. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Proven ability in methods of communication, motivation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
