Aerotek Machine Operator in Turners Falls, Massachusetts

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are currently looking to bring on additional machine operators into our facility. This position includes extensive training, regular check-ins with your production manager to go over manufacturing check lists, and exposure to the engineering team to ensure your success. Your daily duties will include working off of work orders, learning processes of each individual customer, and ensuring KPI's are met. You will use micrometers and calipers to ensure the product meets quality needs, perform minor PM work on machinery including oiling of machines, utilize a computer to track raw material usage, and inspect pieces for defective materials, and any unusual conditions.

Hard Skills

  • Frequent mobility

  • Knowledge of mathematics including using decimals, fractions, and measuring

  • Comfortable with operating multiple machines at one time

  • Experience in manufacturing or mechanically inclined positions

  • Comfortable with using a computer

Soft Skills

  • Comfortability picking up to 50lbs

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Turners Falls, Massachusetts.

Work Environment

The work environment is well-lit with newer machinery, featuring seven departments that each handle separate processes of the production. The culture is diverse and some areas of the facility can be louder. Work schedule is Sunday-Thursday from 11:00pm to 7:00am.
