This Position is for a Service Technician (Entry Level and Experienced) with a company located in Tupelo.

 

Job Summary:  Overall Function Service customer product as specified on the customer order. Work with the highest regard for personal safety and the safety of others. Assume full ownership of position function, with understanding of role in relation to the success of the Service Center. Provide valued input and observations for customer service and operational improvement. Continuously improve on the knowledge of products and services offered by Solideal Onsite Service. 8 hour shift with weekly overtime after 40 hours Day shift, start times may vary.

 

Responsibilities and Duties: In House and Onsite installation of material handling tires utilizing a hydraulic tire press. Dismounts and mounts tires as specified by the customer order. Must display effective time management capabilities. Perform preventive maintenance and ensure cleanliness of all equipment including service vehicles. Report to the Service Manager immediately: Material that does not meet quality standards, equipment that requires maintenance, delays at customer sites, potential issues with customer equipment before servicing, accidents or concerns about safety or other potential hazards. Other duties as assigned. The position requires an individual who can work independently, in addition to, ability to follow accurate, specific, and technical instructions. Direction will be provided by the Regional Service Manager and/or Operations Manager as needed.

 

Education and Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and DOT physical as a condition of an offer of employment, subject to ADA and reasonable accommodation process. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance ie; forklift, Lift table, Lift Gate etc. Must be able to pass background check at appropriate stage consistent with state law as a condition of an offer of employment. Previous experience in an industrial environment and/or mechanical aptitude preferred but not required.

Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) software applications. ERP system knowledge a plus but not required.

Exhibit strong attention to detail, initiative, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Ability to effectively communicate with customers on a professional level regarding product and business operations. Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as required. Driver's License. Hydraulic Tire Presses and related tooling. Urethane Flat-Proofing Equipment. Required Computer and Smart Phone Usage. Safe and Responsible driving. Exposure to various noises and hot/cold conditions at customer locations (indoor/outdoor). Periodically exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Company policies and procedures
