The Plating Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining plating baths and related equipment, including fixtures, hand tools, and measuring instruments. Key duties include monitoring parts as they progress through plating baths, maintaining the plating line (including tank additions, cleanliness, and chemical storage), and preparing and processing parts through various plating lines, such as hard chrome plating. A high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in basic math, attention to detail, effective communication, and critical thinking skills. The candidate must be able to read, write, and understand English, safely utilize, and wear PPE gear (such as a dust mask, steel toe boots, and safety glasses), and work around caustic and corrosive chemicals.
