Facilities Technician

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Facilities Technician. The position will be responsible for basic upkeep and cleaning of the facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of building and grounds, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing.

  • Basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.

  • Provides facilities and maintenance labor and technical support to all areas of the site structure, equipment and grounds.

  • Works with manufacturing and process engineering utilizing blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.

  • Support facility/production daily scheduled and non-scheduled work order related activities.

  • Concrete repair and polishing of manufacturing floors as required

  • Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.

  • Other duties as instructed by Supervisor.

    The skills and experience you need:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred.

  • 2 years of light industrial electrical experience required

  • 2 years of plumbing/sewer experience required

  • Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with all company policies.

  • Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.

  • Must be able to do physical labor and operate power equipment, such as forklifts and boom lifts.

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism.

  • Must be able to professionally work with outside vendors.

  • Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to take direction.

  • Must have their own tools.

  • Ability to routinely lift up 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a Team.

  • Ability to work overtime as required.
