Join our dynamic team where you'll spearhead mission-critical deployment initiatives either remotely or on-site at various customer locations as part of our Airports System Delivery Team. Your primary goal? Delivering unparalleled customer service excellence.

Once onboarded and fully trained, you'll be at the forefront of deploying a comprehensive suite of Collins Aerospace Airports common use systems and products, elevating operations at some of the globe's most esteemed airports across North America. But it doesn't stop there – you'll be an integral part of deployment activities spanning North America and potentially beyond, ensuring seamless operations worldwide.

From traversing to customer sites, conducting meticulous site surveys, liaising with local technical experts, to executing precise installation tasks, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of airport technology and customer satisfaction. What YOU will learn:

  • How to install, update, and test new and existing airline and airport applications, configure common use workstations and peripherals. Install third party software products and integrate them into Collins Aerospace Airports common use and system integration products.

  • How to conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations

  • How to proactively detect problems, resolve issues or report and escalate the problems to next level of support when they can’t be resolved in timely manner. Interface with on-site maintenance personnel, provide 3nd level supports where needed in order to meet the Service Level Agreements (SLA).

  • How to maintain and build knowledge of existing and future products and requirements and industry trends within Airports domain.

    What YOU will do:

  • Adhere to installation instructions and guidelines and use industry best practices in order to deliver the best quality service. Use the appropriate tools and equipment to perform the installation, intervention, and problem resolutions in accordance with System Delivery guidelines and instructions where provided.

  • Follow established policies and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers cannot always be readily obtained.

  • Provide best practices for day-to-day operations, performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning for products deployed and suggest and implement performance improvements when necessary.

  • Frequently interact with customers and coordinate with Airlines and Airport Authorities at airports regarding technical requirements, configurations and testing of airline and airport applications. Commission and hand over systems components and enhancements to customer representatives. Assist in design reviews and procurement.

  • Be Involved in all aspects of intra-Airports technical discussions involving technical problems at sites.

  • Closely liaisons with the project management organization, account management, customer support and sales team for technical exchange of information and planning of operations.

  • Work with 1st and 2nd level technical support and development teams and other cross departments to assist resolving engineering issues/problems. Actively addresses performance issues and risks.

    Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

    Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Prior experience or knowledge in IT or computers.

    Skills we value:

  • Prior customer service experience.

  • Experience in the implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2022 and Windows 10/11 Operating System in both virtual and physical environments.

  • Experience in implementation and troubleshooting of enterprise networks.

  • Experience in TCP/IP, Layer 2 and 3 switching/routing, Cisco IOS, IP address provisioning, VLAN allocation and management, LAN and WAN environments, HSRP, DNS, DHCP.

  • Knowledge of wide variety of airport innovational products and services such biometrics facial recognition technologies, artificial intelligence, queue management systems.

  • Familiarity with IATA CUPPS and CUSS specifications.

  • Familiarity with Cloud computing concepts, cloud technologies and service models.

  • Knowledge of computing hardware and networking

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
