Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Systems Analyst with a strong background in troubleshooting, analysis, specification, testing, and deployment of line of business or financial software systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Business Administration (BA), along with 5 to 8 years of progressive and relevant experience. This position requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a customer-service focused team environment. Some travel may be required based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, analyze, specify, test, and deploy line of business or financial software systems in customer-service focused team environment

  • Utilize advanced user skills in MS Office, including Excel (Pivot Table/Chart, V-look Up, Multiple V-look Up, H-look Up), PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Work with PeopleSoft, specifically with exposure to PeopleSoft Budgeting and Forecasting, Projects, and General Ledger (GL)

  • Utilize reporting tools such as PS Query and BI Publisher for generating reports

  • Diagnose, debug, and correct programs using Application Designer, Trace, and MS SQL

  • Assist the business team with testing and acceptance testing for development and fixes

  • Document and validate test cases against functional requirements

  • Produce consistent positive results with minimal direction and supervision

  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment with varying requirements and deadlines

  • Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Here’s what you’ll need :

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Business Administration (BA)

  • 5 to 8 years of progressive, relevant, in-depth experience in troubleshooting, analysis, specification, testing, and deployment of line of business or financial software systems

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Willingness to travel when requested

  • Advanced user skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Experience working with PeopleSoft, specifically with exposure to PeopleSoft Budgeting and Forecasting, Projects, and GL

  • Strong analytical experience in PeopleSoft Budgeting and Forecasting, Projects, and GL

  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as PS Query and BI Publisher

  • Experience with diagnosing, debugging, and correcting programs using Application Designer, Trace, and MS SQL

  • Ability to assist the business team with testing or acceptance testing for development and fixes

  • Ability to produce consistent positive results with minimal direction and supervision

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment with varying requirements and deadlines

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.5x
