About Us

SEEPEX is a leading and innovative manufacturer of progressive cavity pumps with a truly global presence. The Australian facility was established in mid-2012 and due to continued growth; we are in the process of expanding our Operations team, with a focused view toward greatly expanding our resources and local capabilities.

Job Summary

This is a hands on position within our Operations team that plays an important role to ensure our inventory is maintained at optimum levels, while also assuming responsibility for materials scheduling and procurement, thereby ensuring timely availability of components for pump assembly and ultimately, on-time delivery of completed pump units to customers. The successful applicant will provide expertise and knowledge in areas such as inventory stock control, materials procurement and scheduling, as we fine-tune our factory restructure and operations growth. You will be supported in developing the skills required to fully establish this role, as it applies within our business.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory stock control to maintain materials availability according to market expectations

  • Global procurement of materials required for local assembly activities

  • International freight coordination, order tracking, sea & air freight tracking

  • Materials scheduling to support the production team with timely assembly expectations

  • Creation and monitoring of order confirmations to ensure on-time customer deliveries

  • Provide relevant customer communications as required

  • Liaise with Sales & Production teams to improve efficiencies and customer satisfaction

Key Competencies

  • The successful candidate will be multi skilled but at the same time also have a willingness to learn new things and adapt on a daily basis, as an understanding of our pumps and associated components is crucial for success in this role

  • This position requires someone with warehousing, scheduling & procurement experience

  • A dedication to Customer Service of the highest level

  • Inventory handling experience within a production environment

  • Meticulous eye for detail, excellent communication and a focused work ethic

  • Forklift licence

  • Knowledge of freight systems and transport networks, both domestic and international

  • A “Team Player”

Desirable:

  • A knowledge of the progressive cavity pump industry would be advantageous

  • Experience and understanding of SAP software will be highly regarded

  • Experience using an overhead crane is desirable, but can also be trained

  • Forklift Licence will be required, either before or after commencing in the role

  • Experienced communicator at all levels, with customers, suppliers & colleagues
