Job Description

VCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our Emergency Department.

Currently hiring for night shifts: shifts stagger 5p - 8a, 12 or 10 hour shift options available. Full time only.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In addition to standard CVT skills, the Emergency Department values:

  • Excellent Client & Patient Handling while working in a fast paced environment

  • Advanced tube placement including NG tubes, central lines, and PICC lines

  • Confidence in applying BLS/ALS CPR techniques

  • Anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery of critical patients

  • Hands Free Radiology Technique for critical patients

Compensation varies based on education, experience, and current AZ CVT license: $15 - 24/hour (includes scale for licensed and unlicensed Veterinary Technicians). Additional $3/hour stipend for all hours 8pm - 7am.

CE allowance: CVT $750/year; VTS $1000/year
