Full Time, Monday through Friday Days

$10,000 for Student Loan Repayments

The Main OR at Northwest Medical Center features 16 surgical suites in a dedicated surgical wing and perform highly specialized cutting edge procedures AND minimally invasive procedures. Several suites are specialized for specific types of surgeries. Join a team of surgical professionals who are performing new cutting edge procedures and taking great care of our patients.

As an RNFA at Northwest Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Our OR staff enjoy a robust benefits package including health insurance, 401K, flexible scheduling, 100% licensure/certification renewal reimbursement, Tuition Reimbursement, and up to 10K for student loan payments.

Requirements:

  • Requires an associate's degree, certification as a registered nurse first assistant (CRNFA), certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR), and at least 2 years of operating room experience.

  • For RNFA: current Arizona RN license or compact state license

  • Graduate of Surgical Assistant program NIFA with a Certification as an RNFA required.

  • For all First Assists: American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS

  • ACLS Preferred.

About the Job:

  • The RNFA Surgical First Assist in the Operating Room at Northwest Medical Center, Evaluates perioperative patients and plans, implements and documents surgical nursing care. Performs surgical procedures under supervision of a surgeon. Functions in a scrub and circulating nurse role.

  • Adequately prepares for procedures/surgeries and anticipates physician's needs during procedures/surgeries.
