FirstService Residential Maintenance Technician in Tucson, Arizona

Job Overview:

As the Maintenance Technician, you will perform general maintenance tasks including general janitorial and grounds duties, painting, building and equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring systems are properly maintained and operational and the community is kept safe and clean.​

Compensation: $20+ per hour, depending on experience

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

  • ​​​​Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall repair, pressure washing) on buildings, systems, common areas and amenities
  • Maintain recreational amenities (i.e. clubhouse, kitchen, office and fitness areas areas, game room and bathrooms)
  • Conduct routine inspections (fire extinguishers, light checks, water valve and meter boxes)
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks
  • Complete grounds work to keep the outside of the community safe, clean and free of debris
  • Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas and amenities such as the clubhouse, main pool, fitness and office areas by picking up trash and debris
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Complete maintenance reports, documentation, records, and other necessary paperwork
  • Other weekly, monthly, annual and miscellaneous tasks as appropriate

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communications skills (including written)
  • ​Proven initiative and strong work ethic. Must successfully pass a pre-employment 7-year criminal investigation and drug screening
  • ​Must have general knowledge of building mechanics, plumbing and electrical

Education and Experience:

  • HOA and/ or residential maintenance experience: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Excellent handyman skills, including maintenance in electrical, plumbing (2 years Preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned
  • Able to lift to 50+ pounds

Work Location : Ventana Vista Condominiums; 5051 N Sabino Canyon Road, Tucson, AZ 85750

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, flexible 7a - 3p with some on call duties for emergencies.
