Synectic Solutions Inc Business Development Manager in Tucson, Arizona

Synectic Solutions Inc is seeking a Business Development Manager in Tucson, AZ! 

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the candidate is responsible for managing a portfolio, capture pipeline account execution, and building and developing relationships with industry peers and key decision makers. The candidate will have knowledge of the greater Tucson area and the ability to build upon an already existing network of professional relationships throughout the Fort Huachuca, Davis-Monthan AFB and Luke AFB communities. Specific experience in the Raytheon Missile Defense environment is preferred. The candidate must reside in the greater Tucson local area. This position will include a base salary, annual bonus, and industry leading benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and tactics for new business consistent with the corporate strategic plan.

  • Develop and manage a pipeline focused on opportunities throughout the greater Tucson area.

  • Operate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

  • Develop and participate in win strategies and negotiation of business agreements.

  • Generate and present Business Development activity and status reports to Executive Management.

  • Develop and maintain relationships within the company, the customer community, and industry to better understand the market and environment.

  • Gain detailed customer knowledge to ensure understanding of customer needs and decision-making processes.

  • Support corporate marketing, business development, and communication initiatives and strategies to achieve the company’s new business objectives.

  • Shape and position future acquisitions for opportunities.

  • Prepare and deliver Executive Management pursue-no-pursue briefings/presentations and bid-no-bid briefings/presentations.

  • Lead capture initiatives for opportunities identified in pipeline.

  • Respond to Sources Sought/Requests for Information (RFIs).

  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, strategic partners, suppliers, and tactical system manufacturers.

  • Provide marketing support and customer feedback/perception to Program Management during the execution of programs.  Facilitate customer communication.

  • Generate and present corporate, product, and technical presentations.

  • Support trade-show activities.

  • Support Corporate Communications in developing press releases, marketing brochures, trade show materials, and conducting customer surveys.

  • Coordinate with proposal teams to establish and execute capture and proposal strategy.

  • Participate in all aspects of proposal development for all corporate opportunities.

    Qualifications:

  • Deep network of government decision-makers and DoD teaming partners.

  • Proven performance in building winning captures leading to contract awards.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a pipeline of opportunities over a 3-year period.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term partner and customer relationships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated analytical, reasoning, planning and problem-solving abilities.

  • A high level of self-motivation.

  • Excellent time-management, organizational and record-keeping skills.

  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a team-focused mentality with proven abilities to work collaboratively and think strategically.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, communications, or similar field.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated skills in communicating technical information to non-technical and technical customers, as well as how core technologies translate into customers’ critical capabilities.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.

  • U.S. Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance required for hire, and to be maintained throughout employment.

    *This position will require U.S. citizenship.
