Registered Nurse

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Patient Care Assistant and Certified Patient Care Assistant

This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Current BLS certification is required. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers. In Tucson: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires. Existing Tucson incumbents may not transfer out of their geographical market without meeting the CNA requirement. Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy and keyboarding skills is required.

Physical Therapist

This position is responsible for the evaluation, planning, administration and supervision of Physical Therapy treatment in accordance with physician referral, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. This position demonstrates the clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have graduated from an APTA accredited school of Physical Therapy, or equivalent. Must possess a current Physical Therapy license within the State of practice. BLS certification required.

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Functions as an advance practice registered nurse practitioner or physician assistant and consults with or refers patients to other health care providers or agencies as appropriate. Facilitates collaborative practice and interdisciplinary planning with patient-care team. Uses both advance nursing and medical knowledge in providing direct patient care. As a Banner provider you will provide comprehensive care by promotion of health, prevention of illness and injury. You will serve as a critical role within the health care team, as well as working closely with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to provide safe, satisfying care to patients and their families.

Nurse Practitioner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires current RN license in state of practice. Must be certified to practice by the State Board of Nursing within a particular population as a nurse practitioner. Requires current BLS certification. Depending on scope of practice, may also require advanced life support applicable to discipline and practice site. May require personal DEA license or must have prescribing and dispensing authority granted by the applicable state board of nursing. Depending on business need/area of focus, this position may require evidence of collaboration arrangement as required by CMS, Medical Staff or State laws, whichever is more restrictive. Additional technical and professional certifications and training in accordance with appropriate certifying board.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

As a CRNA you will clinically manage and evaluate adult and some pediatric patients, assist with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpret diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, consultation, research, and education of SRNAs from the University of Arizona Nurse Anesthesia Program. This position thrives in an open culture of communication with multidisciplinary physicians, residents, and other clinicians for a collective team approach to safe patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Physician Assistant

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

NCCPA certification required. Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification. May require personal DEA license for compliance with the applicable state regulatory agency. Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. Employees working at Banner MD Anderson on the Banner University Medical Center Phoenix campus must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. This is a requirement of the Whole Family Counseling Program held at this specific facility.

Radiology Technologist

This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification required. This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.

CT Technologist

This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. National Certification required from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R) or ARRT(NM)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB (CNMT)). State Licensure required for AZ, WY, NV; includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire (not required in Colorado). Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography required within 18 months of hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board – NMTCB (CT). Certification for BLS is required.

Registered Nurse RN New Graduate

The Banner Health New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.

Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. Unit preferences will be taken into consideration as we strive to achieve your long term nursing career goals. Within the program we hope to successfully match your desired service line with the needs of the business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Recent or Upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program

BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations

Current BLS card (through either American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before a start date

No More than 12 months of RN experience

Registered Respiratory Therapist

As an RRT, you will independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings. Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures. Performs patient assessments and evaluates patient response to care provided, making recommendations to physicians regarding the plan of care, appropriate use of respiratory therapy and modification of therapy as clinical condition changes. Documents therapy provided in an accurate and complete manner in accordance with established department/hospital policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate or technical degree. Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). RRT required for all new hires to the position after October 1, 2015. A current license in state practiced as required by state law. In the state of Nevada, all incumbents must have their Blood Gas Technologist certification. Basic Life Support (BCLS) required. Must be knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications and equipment as typically obtained through one year of clinical experience. Must possess highly effective human relation skills necessary to interface with patients, families, staff and other healthcare personnel.

Surgical Technologist

This position selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery. Scrubs and provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedure.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and current basic life support certification. Where applicable must be registered with State Regulatory Agency. The position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations. The position requires the ability to be conscientious, organized, and orderly and the ability to respond quickly to the needs of the surgeon and patient. Must stay abreast of new developments in the field.
