RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares accurate financial operating statements reflecting current profitability by each cost accounting center.

  • Provides financial analysis of the Atlanta plant to assist in the operation and strategic direction of the business.

  • Supervises and leads office staff focused on cost accounting, general accounting, and payroll.

  • Protects all company assets at the Plant including such assets as building, equipment, raw materials, supplies and finished products at all stages of the process.

  • Accounts for the dispersal of all funds and/or the preparation of those documents leading to their dispersal according to company policy and accepted accounting practices.

  • Supervises and monitors the internal flow of production records and the establishment and maintenance of all product standard costs.

  • Acts as the local plant financial advisor to the Plant Manager and local supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • A bachelor's degree with an emphasis or major in the field of accounting or finance.

  • 3+ years of accounting or finance experience

  • A pattern of initiative and leadership.

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States

  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa

Preferred

  • Operational accounting experience.

  • Familiarity with Oracle, QAD and AS400 systems.

  • CMA, CPA or CIA certification, or actively working towards certification.
