Martis Camp Airport Transportation Driver in Truckee, California

The Transportation Ambassador will have a primary responsibility of safely transporting Members and their guests to and from Martis Camp to local airports.  This position will require excellent communication and a polished professional presentation. Safe and timely transportation will require forethought and planning (construction traffic, road closures, traffic accidents, flight delays, etc.), understanding weather conditions, and following traffic laws. This position is best suited to someone with a strong sense of customer service who is a self-starter as most work is done independently. This position will require a flexible schedule.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :  

  • Member transportation to and from airports (primarily Truckee and Reno)

  • Assisting members with luggage and equipment during pick up and drop off

  • Cleaning, fueling, and maintaining vehicle

  • Assisting in other transportation needs as assigned

  • Having flexibility of schedule to adapt to the flowing needs of the Membership requests, which will include working mornings, nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime.

  • This position is part-time and on-call as member reservations are made for transportation to and from the airport. 

      KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must be over 21 with a minimum of three years as a licensed driver

  • Must provide a copy of clean DMV record upon offer of employment

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen with a negative result (this includes marijuana)

  • Pre-employment background screen

  • Must be safety minded, both in driving and in proper lifting mechanics

  • Ability to anticipate our member’s needs

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES :

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • CDL preferred but not required

  • Microsoft Office and Outlook experience

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to safely lift/carry/move up to 60 pounds to get member bags/equipment in and out of the vehicle

  • Ability to sit for 4-5 hours at a time

  • Ability to twist, kneel, and bend repeatedly when assisting members and during vehicle cleaning

  • Ability to push heavy carts up to 300 yards at a time

  • While performing the Airport Transportation duties, exposure to outside inclement winter weather conditions, including cold weather, snow and ice are likely

    POSITION STANDARDS:

  • Ensure your uniform is clean, crisp, and follows the appropriate professional standard for your department

  • Cover all visible tattoos

  • Remove all visible body piercings before your shift

  • Hair must be clean, neatly groomed, and styled appropriately and conservatively

  • All front of house staff will be cleanly shaven

  • Use of personal jewelry should be limited and not interfere with service

  • Makeup, eyelashes, acrylic nails, perfume and cologne must be worn conservatively

  • Tops should be worn to cover all bra straps, cleavage, and all portions of the midsection, and pants should be worn at waist level

  • Gum chewing, smoking, e-cigarettes or vaping, chewing tobacco, snuff, and use of toothpicks are allowed only in Ambassador break areas and are strictly prohibited in member areas. Smoking, e-cigarettes, and vaping may only occur in outdoor Ambassador break areas

WAGE RANGE: $19-$21 per hour plus commissions
