*POSITION TITLE:         * Seasonal Floating Teller - Part-time w/o benefits

DEPARTMENT OR BRANCH LOCATION:        Troy/Gillett Offices

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide timely and courteous service by processing transactions in a professional and efficient manner, answering customer questions and referring customers to the proper department in such a manner that customer and department feedback is positive.
  • Promote sales culture and referrals by actively participating in and promoting the Bank's sales culture and participating in the referral process in accordance with customer needs and ensuring involvement in Bank promotions while meeting referral goals.
  • Provide customers with professional paying and receiving services in an efficient and accurate manner and in accordance with a defined limit of authority. The incumbent is expected to be knowledgeable and proficient in cashing checks and processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, night deposits, mail, check orders, various transaction reporting, Reg CC holds, cashier's checks, redemption of savings bonds, stop payments, and wire transfers.
  • Maintain daily transactions and balance to them in accordance with the established schedule by researching outages and balancing the drawer in an accurate and timely manner. Able to research outages quickly and efficiently without assistance. 
  • Perform a variety of operational duties including following proper procedures for safe deposit boxes, handling non-sufficient fund and collection items, balancing the ATM, maintaining the security checklist and various reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Constructively interact with co-workers.

*JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: *

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and position-related software programs.
  • Ability to use general office and other job-related equipment such as a telephone, calculator, coin sorter, currency counter, and a copy machine.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational experience or students planning a field of study emphasizing finance, accounting, or business administration. (preferred)

HOURS will average approximately 30-40 per week during the summer and as available over holidays and breaks.  Will fill in for vacations. This position is budgeted for 800 hours per year.
