Our Client:

Our client is the NYS Office of General Services, and they are seeking aComputer Operator for one of their teams. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in Troy, NY and is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last approximately 6 months with the possibility of an extension and a pay rate of$21/hr. This is an in-office role, so you must be commutable toTroy, NY.Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring console for performance alerts.

  • Keeping track of the schedule to determine which programs should and should not be running at different times during the assigned shift.

  • Monitoring all facility environmental controls, including security, fire, humidity, and temperature.

  • Preparing and maintaining standard records and reports.

  • Communicating any issues to the technical staff promptly.

  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
