Shift: This position is full-time, Monday-Friday.

Position Reports to: Program Manager

Job Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Compensation: 17.477 - 25.664 per hour (based on experience, credentials, and education)

Job Duties:

  • Manage a caseload and provide treatment services to adolescents, adults, and families.

  • Conduct intakes and assessments and make appropriate treatment recommendations.

  • Conduct individual sessions to provide substance abuse treatment, education, support, and advocacy.

  • Facilitate group therapy.

  • Maintain ongoing contact with the clients’ family members and/or significant others when appropriate.

  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed.

  • Participate, collaboratively, as a member of the program’s multidisciplinary team.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and collaterals.

  • Maintain documentation as per OASAS standards within allotted time frame.

  • Maintain client confidentiality as per 42 C.F.R. Part 2 (Substance Abuse Records) and 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 &164 (HIPAA).

  • Be familiar with and adhere to current agency policies and procedures.

  • Adhere to the CASAC Canon of Ethical Principles (see attached).

Requirements

  • QHP or CASAC-T preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in substance abuse counseling and experience with multiple age groups and various treatment modalities required.
