Position Description

We are recruiting for a new position located at in our Brunswick Center Day program and Riverside/Community Inclusion Day Programs. This position is an Activity Leader. Under the direction of the Program Director and the Program Management Team, the Activity Leader will assist in planning and providing oversight to the facilitation of daily activity options for the people supported at the day program. This position will work collaboratively with management to help evaluate and develop community opportunities for the individuals supported. Such community opportunities are building relationships with outside organizations and developing ways of getting communication out to provide information on day services and documenting contacts made.

This position also plays a role in providing direct support to individuals in order to assist them reach their goals and desired outcomes.

Education and/or Experience Prerequisites:

High School Diploma and 3 + years of experience in the field. Valid NYS Driver’s license: This position requires the capacity to support people’s physical management needs, necessitating the ability to lift in excess of fifty pounds (50).

40 Hours a week can be flexible with the role responsibilities.
