We are looking for a talented student to join our team for our School to Work, Product Management in Troy, MI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

The Cummins-Meritor Cooperative Education Student who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Finance, Engineering. The primary role of the school-to-work is to support the Cummins-Meritor product strategy Team. This can include participation in strategic initiatives, product planning, lifecycle management, pricing, and other key activities of product management. The student will, at the same time, gain real world experience and education in the field of product management and data analytics in a business-to-business environment.

  • Assist with the execution of product line initiatives to achieve sales and profit objectives.

  • Support the development of pricing and quote strategies to achieve overall product line profitability objectives.

  • Support analysis of product performance against stated goals

  • Develop and demonstrate proficiency on systems used by the product teams.

  • Preparing reports as required.

  • Participating in profitability review, competitor analysis

  • Perform market analysis to ensure competitive position and accuracy.

  • Supporting Product Managers strategic initiatives

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Familiar with Adobe Acrobat Pro software.

  • Proficient in MS Tools (Excel, PPT, Access).

  • Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work independently and within teams as needed.

  • Demonstrates written and oral communication skills, including presentation creation.

  • Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels of the organizations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Education, Licenses, Certification

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Finance, Engineering.

  • Post-Secondary:

  • Must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters.

  • Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate is commensurate with experience.
