Total Filtration Services, a division of Parker Hannifin, is a sales organization that focuses on the distribution of filtration products to end users.

Responsibility Summary:

The Purchasing Clerk is a metrics-driven position responsible for accurately and efficiently following up on open purchase orders, receiving drop ship orders, contacting vendors for shipping documents, gathering analyzing and updating new part pricing from vendors, and completing other related assignments which contribute to the department and company.

· Accurately and timely receive vendor invoices into the company’s business system, working with logistics, A/P, distribution managers, buyers, and vendors as required

· Maintain Vendor Pricing inbox – manage pricing update requests, gather new vendor pricing updates, support our sales team in pricing requests, and working with suppliers with price discrepancies.

· Contact vendors to follow up and Ensure item costs (Via price sheets, catalogs, and SPAs) are up to date in business system.

· Perform Purchase Price Index (PPI) analysis on items when we receive a new cost from the vendor.

· Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

· Identify significant cost increases, work with the Buyers and Sourcing to determine best course of action.

· Participates in continuous improvement activities and provides suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiency.

· Maintain paperwork according to Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

· Assist team members with projects and tasks as assigned.

· Solid computer skills and data entry abilities - specifically very strong Microsoft Excel skillset

· General knowledge of ERP systems - Cloud Suite Distribution is a plus

· Data Entry experience required

· Analytical mind-set

· Ability to identify issues and propose improvements; keen problem solving skills

· Ability to contribute as an individual as well as a team-member

· Demonstrated effective listening skills

Educational Requirements:

· High School diploma or equivalency required

· Associates Degree preferred
