Purpose of Job

The NSNA Senior Manager of Supply Chain is responsible for the oversight of Supply Chain Design (SCD) activities including advanced supply chain strategy, Program launch Plan-for-Every-Part (PFEP), Supply Chain Systems, and Supply Chain continuous improvement. This position will also oversee the management of all escalated constraints and supplier delivery-related concerns from NSNA plants. The NSNA Senior Manager of Supply Chain drives efficiencies through effective Advanced Planning strategies, KPI management, continuous improvement, and Process development. This position is relied on to manage and lead cross-functional teams (internal and external organizations) to reduce risk or optimize supply chain matters.

Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of advanced planning of NSNA’s Supply Chain Design and oversee optimization within the supply chain by evaluating sales strategy against NSNA plant capacities (manufacturing, space, and warehousing).

  • Lead direct reports in the development and execution of Program Launch Plan-for-Every-Part which encompasses inventory, warehousing, & production strategies, packaging and logistics designs, and supply chain system readiness development.

  • Process Development and maintenance as it relates to ERP (within related functions), Obsolescence, Launch Excellence, Logistics, Packaging, Operational Requirements, and other related Supply Chain areas.

  • Oversight and tracking of constrained material, including mitigation strategies.

  • Oversight of escalated supply chain matters from NSNA plants or NS Headquarters.

  • Budgeting, Business Plan Development, and Progress Reporting

  • Building and developing a successful high-performing team, and effectively managing personnel matters.

  • Oversight of all Supply Chain KPIs and any relevant corrective actions.

  • Provide supervision, guidance, leadership, and training to members within the team.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance all team members.

  • Train team members on policies and procedures and create and maintain a set of current forms and approval procedures.

  • Establish goals for the team and conduct reviews.

  • Participate in recruitment activities and hiring of qualified department resources.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred

  • 5 or more year’s related experience in the automotive industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • ASCM certification(s), a plus.

    Related Experience

  • Experience demonstrating effective leadership, directly or in-directly, for multi- disciplinary teams is required.

  • Must have past supervision/leadership experience.

  • Work requires at least 3 years related supply chain management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated vendor management experience in warehousing and transportation across inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.

  • Work requires strong oral and written communication skills

  • Work requires a strong knowledge level of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Work requires working knowledge and experience with ERP and WMS systems.

  • Work requires knowledge of current SCM techniques and processes.

Additional Information

Work Hours Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5pm. Off-hours as needed.

Travel Requirements

10 - 25% international and/or domestic.

If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers’ license is required.

If international travel is necessary, valid passport is required.
