Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Test Engineer Early Career / Missile Production- Troy AL in Troy, Alabama

Description: This position provides technical support of Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama. The job duties include (1) supporting the development and operation of automated test equipment for missile production assembly, integration & test operations (2) create and maintain detailed test plans & procedures, (3) provide hands-on manufacturing floor support of electrical / electronic component integration, test, troubleshoot and repair of military missiles.

The role requires the ability to:

Interpret engineering requirements from product data drawings, parts lists, specifications and schematics.

Demonstrate a high level of electronic circuit test and analysis abilities to perform or assist with missile production & test along with having to ability to replace or repair nonoperating electronic equipment components.

Use statistical data to develop trend analysis to detect potential failures, conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement the corrective / preventative actions.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small- town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications:

Degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline at the Bachelor level or above.

Familiar with Test & Troubleshooting of Electronic Circuits.

Must be able to work all schedules / shifts (first shift, night shift, and weekend schedule).

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Desired Skills:

Ability to (1) read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications / schematics; (2) basic understanding of electronic circuits; (3) use electronic test equipment (Digital Multimeter, Digital Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Frequency Counter, and/or Network Analyzer).

Strong hands-on assembly / disassembly / troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial and/or home equipment and products.

Previous experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, National Instrument’s Lab-View Lab-Windows CVI and Test-Stand software with hardware component integration is very desirable.

Knowledgeable of General Manufacturing Processes with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
