Lockheed Martin Inventory/Materials Associate- Troy AL in Troy, Alabama

Description: This position would be a part of the Production, Planning and Control organization as an inventory control and material handling associate responsible for kitting hardware and preparing it for use on the production line, transporting materials to and from the production buildings, and proper handling of inventory containers to include empty ones that are recycled back to the supplier, packaging and shipment preparation of inventory that is required to ship from the site and other duties as assigned. This is a full time position working within the main warehouse and in between the production buildings on site. Responsibilities will require working outdoors during the preparation of material for transport and may entail long periods of standing/walking and requires specialized conductive footwear. Operation of a forklift will also be required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Successful completion of the Ready to

Work/Lockheed Martin pre-employment training

program required

• Demonstrated ability to work independently

and with a team

• Experience/proficiency of desktop computing

applications

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted

• Ability to be certified to operate a forklift

• Excellent interpersonal and communication

skills

• Willingness to work alternate shifts and overtime hours as required

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a

secret clearance and must have an interim

secret clearance prior to starting.

• **Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of

Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

(“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to

be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or

other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF

regulations. Failure to obtain and retain

employee possessor status may result in

revocation of an offer and loss of employment

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge and understanding of

inventory control practices

• Inventory Control and Material Handling

experience to include experience using a pallet

jack, powered industrial truck/forklift, supply

carts, lifting technique, part accountability and

record keeping.

• Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control

Manufacturing operations experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
