Summary

The Shift Leader position is responsible for maintaining customer service as per company standards, is responsible for the efficient expedition of all customer service transactions as well as ensuring customer satisfaction at the food service and drive thru areas, including proper control of all cash transactions.

2 Shift Leaders Needed

Shifts Available:

Day Hours: 5am-2pm

Evening Hours: 2pm-10pm

*Essential Functions *

  1. Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly enviornment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and operational policies of customer service. 

2.Responsible for assisting in training of new sales associates ans cross-training other sales associates.

  1. Ensures complaince of company policies, procedures and practices: and supports Company loss prevention efforts. 

4.Oversees the productivity, breaks and shift duties of all sales associates and communicates performance issues to management.

5.Assists in providing customer service, foodservice preparation, merchandise stocking, housekeeping, displya maintenance and replenishing merchandise stocking, housekeeping, display maintenance and replenishing merchandise as needed.

6.Responsible for directing the staff, in the absence of the management team, to ensure all shift duties are completed to company standards.

*Supervisory Responsibility *

This position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the stroe management team. Shift Leaders are to lead the team by exhibiting outstanding work ethics and drive.

*Physical Demands *

The physical demands are described in the duty evaluation form. While performing the duties of this job, the shift leader is regularly to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires stadning, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing through the duration of the shift. 

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Shift leaders will be expected to work any shift including weekends and holidays.

*Duties and Responsibilties *

  1. Functions as a role model to staff by performing all store functions as necessary, demonstrating good work habits, encouraging clean and safe work habits and promoting positive attitudes toward customers. 

2.Circulates through the store to insure smooth operations by trouble shooting, delegating duties and insuring completion of work.

  1. Instructs and directs store staff regarding job responsibilities.

  2. Resolves customer and/or sales associate problems or complaints in a diplomatic and timely manner.

  3. Ensures cash drawers are kept at company security standards.

  4. Accommodates special needs of customers and communicates needs to other staff.

7.Reports any theft or suspected theft by customers or employees to appropriate parties immediately.

8.Notifies management team of maintenance needs and arranges for repairs as directed. 

9.Receives and examines deliveries for discrepencies and resolves problems promptly.

10.Ensures customer's orders are filled to specifications and expectations in a timely manner.

  1. Maintains and monitors food quality to meet Department of Agriculture standards and requirements.
